onething Kansas City is coming...
The year-end onething young adult conference here in Kansas City is two weeks away! The base has been gearing up to host 20,000 young adults in our "living room" - we're moving the prayer room and everything we do to Bartle Hall in downtown KC for 4 days starting December 28th.

There is a great anticipation of what the Lord is going to do this year. We're finally back in Bartle Hall again this year. There's been several dreams and prophetic words given over the years about what the Lord will release through gatherings in this building. One specifically said that the banner over the gatherings in the building would be "Holiness unto the Lord" and that He would release a "new way" to holiness (holiness motivated by intimacy with Jesus). I'm confident that the Lord is going to release a measure of it this year to those attending the conference.
As always, the heartbeat of IHOP, the prayer room, will be moving downtown from December 28th through the 31st. My worship team has the privilege of leading the first session there this year. My worship team (also known as Merchant Band) is also going to be playing the main session at the conference on Saturday night, the 29th. You'll probably be able to watch us on GOD TV (Direct TV channel 365) or online at www.god.tv.
I've played main stage for the past 3 years (see some old photos) - the past two with Merchant Band and the first with Todd Ganovski. But believe it or not, I am more excited about playing and worshipping in the prayer room than I am on the main stage at the conference. There's so much life on the sets and the room is always full of young adults hungry to encounter Jesus!
Like last year, the onething conference team printed out all of the first names of the people registered for the conference and as a missions base we have been praying over every name for the past week or so. My list almost tripled in size though, because I added all of the names of my out of town friends (and some of their friends) attending the conference :)
If you haven't seen the really cool promo video yet, go here.
I'm so excited this year - my younger brother will be visiting Kansas City for Christmas and will actually be able to come to the conference!
Are you coming to onething? If so, leave me a comment and we'll connect at the conference!

Coming to KC
I'll be in KC for my second Onething (since 2005). I can't wait! We here(Ihoppers of the University of Illinois @UC -brothers and sisters) have been fasting and praying for this event with you all! We are bringing about a crowd of 30. We are in eager expectation to encounter the Lord. Hope to see you there Josh!

Hello,
I'm a photographer based in Lakewood, Wash.
This morning while studying the bible, I turned to the internet to get more clarity on scripture (Matt 12:30) and was eventually lead to your website and the website of "His Hand is on the Door"
Very interesting. I will continue to read more.
The Onething conference is also very interesting! Is it possible to get a media pass? Have you had any news coverage in the past?
Thanks.

Karie, your best bet may be to email onething@ihop.org and ask your question there...
As for Matthew 12:30, what did you find out?

Hi Josh,
It makes me think of gray vs. B&W. Right vs. wrong. Good vs. evil. I think Jesus wants his identity to be obvious and not gray. Thus....... is being non-commital a way of being against him? Is there no middle ground? These are some of my questions?
