Hunger and Thirst - The Power That Focuses Your Life

One of the challenges in the Christian life is to rightly value the place of hunger equally to the place of being filled. This beatitude in Matthew 5:6 emphasizes the blessedness of the hungry not the blessedness of those who are filled.

We need a revolution in our thinking with regard to the pains we experience in hunger for God. “Make yourself a capacity and I will make myself a torrent” (Saint Angela). God wants to give Himself completely to us! He doesn’t want to give us a ‘trickle’ on the inside (John 4:14), but a torrent. However, we must make ourselves a capacity.

This handout gives a brief overview of the "why behind the what" and the events of the end-times, culminating in the return of Jesus to the earth.

I spoke at onething Sacramento in early 2007 on this subject.

Apostolic Prayers - Ephesians 1 - Wisdom and Revelation

In this expanded document, Mike Bickle outlines Paul's prayer for the church in Ephesians 1:17-19. This is a prayer we pray often at IHOP and a prayer I pray often for myself. Paul understood the power of prayer and what the church needed the most - a right view of God, His glory, and His inheritance in us that would empower their hearts to live wholly devoted all their days.

Five Lifestyle Practices to Guarantee Maturity

This little one-page handout is one of the most succinct and clear outlines I have ever seen of living a life that is well-pleasing to God by walking out the Sermon on the Mount. The way we demonstrate our love to Jesus is by obedience, and as we obey He promises blessing on our heart in this age and rewards in the age to come. Mike Bickle outlines 5 practical things to do that involve our eyes, tongue, time, money, and heart connect with God.

The End-Time Prayer Movement

Stuart Greaves is the leader of the nightwatch at IHOP-KC. In this handout, Stuart takes Isaiah 62 and Isaiah 42 and discusses the emerging global prayer movement as the precursor to the second coming of Jesus. He discusses it as a prophetic indicator and as God's solution to ultimately release "speedy justice" (Luke 18) on the earth.

Helpful fasting tips

Going on a fast? Going to break a fast soon? This document is something some folks at IHOP put together with helpful tips to beginning and breaking a fast, along with some of the typical reactions of the body to extended fasting. This document shouldn't be taken as medical advice that a doctor can give you, but it's got everything in a nutshell. Hope it helps you fast!

The Prayer and Worship Movement Today

Prayer and worship is being raised up all across the earth today in small towns and big cities - it is unprecedented, because it's happening totally separate from any organization, franchise, or effort of man. The Lord is pouring out a grace to pray, fast, and worship unlike any time in history.

This 5-page handout details why the Lord is raising up prayer and worship across the earth. God's reason is not arbitrary or random, but it's unto the ultimate purpose of exalting His name and vindicating the person of Jesus, making His true identity known across the entire earth.

I made this handout for a visit back to New Hampshire in the fall of 2008, where I spoke several times on this subject. The notes are based off of some similar notes from Stephen Venable, a teacher at IHOP's bible school, the Forerunner School of Ministry.
