1) Why doesn’t IHOP-KC pay you to be on staff? Are contributions to individual missionaries really a tested and proven way to fund missions?
The largest missions organization in the world that pays its staff a salary is Focus on the Family, with 1,200 staff members. However, between Youth with a Mission (YWAM) and Campus Crusade for Christ, over 50,000 individuals successfully raise missionary support. There are thousands more in other similar organizations. Individual missionary support is most certainly a proven way to support missionaries.
2) If I make a donation, where does it go?
100% of the donation comes to me. There are no administrative costs or deductions taken by the Missions Base.
3) How much should I support you?
I invite all of my supporters to give in a way that excites and connects their heart. I am also confident in the Lord as my provider – He knows what I need and will speak to you accordingly.
4) How often should I support you?
Monthly, quarterly, annually, or occasionally.
5) Are my donations tax-deductible?
Yes. All donations given through IHOP are tax-deductible. The finance office will keep track of your donations as charitable contributions and you will receive a donation statement at the end of the year for tax purposes. Your donations are not tax-deductible if you donate via Paypal or write a check to me directly. Please feel free to donate via any method you wish.
