November 2007 Update - Happy Holidays

I had the privilege of spending Thanksgiving in Leadville, Colorado once again this year with my dad and stepmom. Make sure you check out my website, joshuahawkins.com, for photos from the trip. It was an awesome time as it always is when I visit. There was one unexpected bump in the road, however – but it really did turn out for the best in the end. Dad’s golden retriever, Jackson, died suddenly after taking him on a walk. He was almost 10 years old. He was playing happily with 4 of his dog friends and became lethargic and laid in the snow.  read more »

October Update - Onething Minneapolis

God’s blessings to you from Kansas City. October has been a busy and exciting month thus far, and it’s not over yet. Tim, one of my roommates, recently came back after spending three months away. He went on what was to be a three-week missions trip to South Korea and to Egypt, but picked up salmonella from some tainted food in Egypt. The doctors treated him at his home back in Tennessee but then he picked up a secondary infection that kept him down and out for even more time. So what was supposed to be three weeks turned into a total of three months.  read more »

September 2007 Update

Fall has officially arrived! There have been some cool days in KC this month, but still we’ve seen the normal 90+ degree weather. And, the ragweed pollen has been taking its toll on my poor immune system. Hopefully a frost is not too far away! This month, on September 19, IHOP-KC celebrated its 8th anniversary of 24/7 non-stop worship and prayer. It has been amazing to see the Lord’s faithfulness to us. We are so thankful that it is in our weakness that He is strong, because we are probably some of the weakest people on the earth!  read more »

Found Faithful - Justin Rizzo

Justin Rizzo - Found Faithful CD

A psalmist rooted deep in the Word of God, Justin Rizzo releases his debut album, Found Faithful. Like King David, Justin uses his music as a means to connect with Christ and to pour out his heart to the Lord. Dynamic worship comes forth in Found Faithful, as Justin declares the attributes of God and proclaims the extravagance of Jesus. More than just good music, Justin uniquely writes his songs out of revelation from the Word. I'm so privileged to know Justin and to play keyboard on his worship team! Click here to download the album at the IHOP MP3 store.
